Lieutenant’s Pump is situated on Elgin street, in the semi basement of one of Ottawa’s oldest apartment buildings, circa 1903.
For its size, Lieutenant’s Pump feels very cozy, almost chalet like. There are four rooms with lots of dark wood, gorgeous stone walls, low ceilings and red leather banquettes. Three of the rooms have their own bar and the rooms can be reserved for private parties. Please call to make a reservation.
The three bars offer a wide selection of sixteen draft. Several of which are from excellent local and regional breweries. In the summer, you can sit on the patio sipping “Mason Jar Mojitos”, made with fresh picked mint from the garden out front.
The menu can best be described as offering home cooked casual fare. It has pub food that you would expect like burgers, nachos and wings. In addition the menu is augmented with many healthy choices. Alternate grains like Quinoa, Millet and Lentils are used in several dishes.
A la Carte Brunch is served Saturday and Sunday from 8:30am to 2:30p.. Saturday night features a package for couples consisting of two steaks and a bottle of wine from $46.00. Sunday night features Traditional Prime Rib Roast Beef.
Please look around our site and take a moment to view our menu, or better yet, drop by in person. We’ll be glad to see you.
